GREECE: the land of contradictions

Chania, the old Harbour

Parga, the beach

Even as we approach winter, Greece remains a beautiful place to visit. But, most important, it remains a land of contradictions.

Take a look at these two fresh photos from two different spots in Greece, taken today.

First, a shot from the Chania, Crete old harbour: the sun is still vibrant and warm, people are strolling up and down, life is buoyant...

Second, a shot from the beach in Parga, a famous by-the-sea village on Greece's western sea front, with beautiful beaches and lots of summertime travellers. The sky is overcast, the scenery is a bit sad and remote, people are nowhere...

It's the same situation all over Greece, all over the greek history, all over the greek people. We love contradictions and antitheses, we thrive of clashes, we feed on the battle of the opposites.

That's why Greece is such a lovely country to visit, throughout the year. Whatever your "cup of tea" might be, from sunny beaches to towering mountains, from overcrowded cities to secluded picturesque villages, from sadness to joy, from big to small, WE HAVE IT ALL!
