Palaio Faliro is situated on the east coast of the Phalerum Bay, a bay of the Saronic Gulf, 6 km southwest of Athens city centre. It is surrounded by other suburbs of Athens: Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, Agios Dimitrios and Alimos. The Pikrodafni stream flows into sea on the border of Palaio Faliro and Alimos. The seaside area has been redeveloped for the 2004 Summer Olympics, and now contains a seaside promenade, several sports venues, a marina and the Park of Maritime Tradition, where museum ships are exhibited.

Here's how we'll spend the day and what we'll do together
A comprehensive 11 km city trekking bike tour in Athens will be offered, along the brand new bike road which runs from Gazi to Palaio Faliro. The tour will cover numerous tourist attractions like the Averof Museum, and Olympic landmarks like the Tae Kwon Do stadium. Full bike gear will be offered (helmets, safety locks, bike vests etc) for male and female riders. In addition, the visitors will have a great chance to enjoy a terrific ride across city parks and green scenery
The whole bike ride will end up at a traditional winery, where the visitors will have a chance to take part in wine tasting sessions, attend a short video-course on the history of winemaking in Greece, and sample exceptional greek delicatessen
